The Museum currently has a volunteer team of around 35 people.
We are very happy to receive enquiries about joining the team. We are keen to hear from people with specific professional skills as well as people who can help with practical tasks that are so necessary to the smooth running of our operations.
The sort of things that volunteers help us with are:
- Assisting with archive care and enquiries
- Textiles care
- Care of general museum items
- Maintenance
- Building and construction
- Exhibition design and construction
- Communications
- Fund raising and sponsorship
It is important for us to know who is available, and what they are able to offer. When vacancies arise, we hope to have already met and interviewed potential volunteers.
